  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Herb Butter Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and olive oil, allowing the butter to melt.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant (do not let it brown).
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Herb Butter Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  2. Stir in the chili flakes, fresh parsley, cilantro, dill (if using), black pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  3. Cook the sauce for 1–2 minutes on low heat to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
  1. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the herb butter sauce.
  2. Heat for 1–2 minutes to warm the shrimp.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
  1. Transfer the shrimp to a serving plate, spooning extra herb butter sauce on top.
  2. Garnish with additional parsley and a wedge of lemon on the side.
  3. Serve immediately with crusty bread, rice, or pasta to soak up the flavorful sauce.

Tips for Customization

  • Add Heat: Increase the chili flakes or add fresh diced chili peppers for more spice.
  • Herb Variations: Substitute parsley and cilantro with basil or thyme for a different flavor profile.
  • Pairings: Serve over linguine or creamy polenta for a hearty meal.
